At #Open, we’re not just a platform; we’re here to support change. By aligning with select nonprofit organizations, we’re helping build a world where everyone can explore openly, connect without judgment, break down stigmas, and make safer, welcoming spaces for everyone.
The National Coalition for Sexual Freedom (NCSF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for the rights and freedoms of individuals engaged in consensual non-monogamy, BDSM, kink, and other alternative sexual expressions.
For #Open users, the NCSF serves as a vital resource, offering educational materials, legal advocacy, and community support to promote informed, consensual, and stigma-free relationships.
Their Consent Counts initiative focuses on defining and supporting affirmative consent practices, ensuring safer interactions both online and in person. Additionally, the NCSF provides guidance on legal and privacy concerns, helping individuals and communities navigate societal challenges and maintain personal safety.
By collaborating with organizations like the NCSF, #Open empowers its users with access to expert-backed resources, advocacy tools, and an inclusive approach to sexual freedom.
Organization for Polyamory and Ethical Non-monogamy (OPEN) OPEN is a nonprofit organization committed to normalizing and empowering non-monogamous individuals, relationships, and communities.
They work to advance cultural acceptance, build political power, and support non-monogamous communities and leaders through advocacy, education, and community-building initiatives.
Chosen Family Law Center (CFLC) The Chosen Family Law Center is dedicated to building a legal framework that supports dignity and justice for all family types, including LGBTQIA+, polyamorous, and other non-nuclear families. They offer direct legal services, engage in legislative development, and provide advocacy and education to promote equitable social and legal recognition of diverse family structures.
The Woodhull Freedom Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing sexual freedom as a fundamental human right. Named after trailblazer Victoria Woodhull, the first woman to run for president in the United States and a fierce advocate for gender and sexual equality, the foundation champions the rights of all individuals to make decisions about their sexuality, relationships, and bodies without fear of discrimination or legal repercussions.
Woodhull actively supports sex workers’ rights, the decriminalization of consensual adult activities, and the protection of alternative relationship structures like non-monogamy.
Through advocacy, litigation, education, and events like the annual Sexual Freedom Summit, Woodhull empowers communities to combat stigma, promote consent, and push for legal and cultural change to ensure that sexual freedom is recognized as a basic human right.
We work tirelessly to ensure that #open remains a platform that prioritizes respect, inclusivity, and real, meaningful connections. We’re here not just as developers but as members of the community who care deeply about creating a platform that feels welcoming.
#Open is proud to be a Delaware B Corporation, affirming our commitment to high standards of social and environmental impact, transparency, and accountability. As a B Corp, we’re dedicated to building a community-driven platform that champions inclusivity, respect, and meaningful connections in the non-monogamous community.
#Open is dedicated, first and foremost, to being inclusive: to accepting people from all walks of life, in any sort of relationship that makes you happy, no matter what gets you going.
To provide that freedom, #Open has to be more than just a dating app–it has to be a community. Maintaining a community requires more than just showing up! We all rely upon each other to ensure that our community remains inclusive, accepting, and friendly.
Inclusion goes beyond acceptance; it requires that everyone is provided the opportunity to express their unique self. It requires the freedom to share who we are without fear of judgment. It requires that all of us are free to self-identify however we choose.
Treating each other with the respect, compassion, and empathy that we all deserve is what keeps our community strong. Respecting the desires and boundaries of others is what makes us what we are–affirmative, enthusiastic consent isn’t optional in our interactions with each other, it is absolutely required.
We believe open and honest communication is the foundation of respect and strong relationships. Clear, authentic connection is essential for happy, healthy relationships—and a thriving community is built on the connections we create with one another.
At #Open, we’re committed to building a community grounded in education, empowering everyone to connect, learn, and grow together.
By creating accessible resources like articles and workshops and collaborating with advocacy groups to protect vulnerable populations, we strive to educate and inspire both our community and society at large through events, podcasts, social media campaigns, interactive discussions, and expert-led webinars and workshops
